Volunteer Libraries in Sheffield

In line with Government guidance, all of the volunteer libraries in Sheffield are currently closed to the public.

We are all very keen to reopen and we have already started thinking about how to reopen our libraries safely when restrictions are reduced. However, we will be guided by Government advice over the coming weeks to ensure the safety of our customers and volunteers.

This portal gives you access to all of the volunteer libraries so that you can see what they normally offer. During the lockdown period, a number of libraries are providing resources and information, either on their websites or their Facebook pages (and other social media). Please use the Find a library option to connect with your local library.

Sheffield eLibrary is still available and the Council has just spent £20,000 to increase the number of ebooks available so there’s plenty to read! If you aren’t a library member, you can join the library today using the Sheffield eLibrary option at the top of this page. You will then be able to use the eLibrary online to access ebooks, audio books, magazines and comics.
